Patricia Ann Nichols, 60, of Delmar, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born on June 23, 1954 in Winchester, Virginia, a daughter of Anna Barrett Kenney of Winchester, and the late Carl Barrett. Patricia worked for Pep Boys in Salisbury for 23 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury, where she attended bible study classes. She also worked as a carrier for the Daily Times for many years. She is survived by her mother, Anna Barrett Kenney of Winchester; two daughters, Jennifer Barrow (Matt) of Federalsburg and Elizabeth Nichols of Delmar; three step-children, Crystal Barnes of Baltimore, Michael Nichols of Clear Water, FL, and John Nichols of Ellicott City; four grandchildren, Evelyn Barrow, Matthew Barrow, William Barrow and Zachary Barrow; three step-grandchildren, Evan Barnes, Brooke Nichols and Aiden Nichols; a sister, Karen Owens of Winchester; two brothers, Carl Barrett, Jr. (Pam) of Winchester and Donnie Barrett (Trina) of Paw Paw, WV; a special friend, Patty Gagnon of Fruitland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilson Nichols. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Bill Green will officiate. Interment will follow the service at St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
