Patricia S. Moore of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on October 23, 1927, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Mildred Sturgis. Patricia dedicated 36 years of her life working at C&P Telephone, which later became Bell Atlantic, where she made countless friends and colleagues. An avid Baltimore Orioles fan, Patricia loved nothing more than spending her evenings watching the games and cheering on her team. She also had a soft spot for the Gameshow Network, often sharing laughs over her favorite shows. Patricia will be remembered not just for her incredible spirit but for the way she made every person feel special. While she didn't want to be fussed over, she always found ways to lift others up. Patricia was a loving mother to her children, Don Moore (Linda), Becky Thomas (Bill), and Eddie Moore. She was not just their mom but a second mom to many who were lucky enough to know her. She cared deeply for her grandchildren: Megan Lowe (Keith), Kim Moore, Aaron Moore (Shelley), Scott Peterson (Kim), Billy Thomas III (Angie), Michael Thomas, Traci Moore, and David Smith (Stacie), and her many great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lee Moore, Sr, her son Raymond Lee Moore, Jr., her daughter, Linda Moore, and her sister Jackie Holloway. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life during a graveside service at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, MD, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. In memory of Patricia, the family asks that donations be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802, reflecting her spirit of kindness and compassion. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
