Obituary

Patricia Ann Hall, 79, of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at her daughter's home in Delmar, after a long and courageous battle with several health issues. She was born May 23, 1941 in Salisbury, a daughter of James Ralph Hancock and Flossie Ellen (Perdue) Nichols. In her younger days Pat worked as an inspector for the USDA where she traveled the Mid-Atlantic training inspectors. She then went to work at the Gant Shirt Factory before working as a sales clerk for many years at Roses Department Store in Seaford. She was a dedicated, active member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Salisbury. She enjoyed shopping and working in her flowers. Pat was a wonderful cook and her family always looked forward to her hand-rolled dumplings, seafood dishes and anything she cooked. Her life revolved around her church and her family and she spent many hours sitting in the bleachers cheering on her grandchildren on the baseball or football field, school play or whatever activity they were involved in, she was there. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by children, James Richardson and wife Rose, Patsy Pitmon and husband Deane, Ricky Richardson and wife Lisa and Vickie Bryan and husband Dallas; grandchildren, Brian Richardson (April), Karen Richardson, Eric Pitmon (Fawn), Derrick Richardson, Tara Timmons, Bill Timmons, Ricky Richardson, Jr., Christopher Richardson, Dominique Hall, Alicia Bryan and Dallas Bryan, Jr.; great grandchildren, Jake, Bella, Brody, Addison, Destnay, Ja'diah, Ryder, Brody, Chloe, Tyler, Kylie, Wyatt, Kinsey, Audriana, Londyn and Mi'Cylah; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Vaughn Hall; a son, Charlie Allen Richardson; and a brother, James Virgil Hancock. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Due to current gathering restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be held at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
