Obituary

Patricia Eileen Flint, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 19, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Patricia was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maryallice (Keller) Donnelly. She was raised in Brookline, where she attended Resurrection Grade School and graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School in 1958, upon which she became known for her spirited participation in high school basketball. Patricia's passion for life extended beyond sports; she was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, supporting her team through thick and thin. Her adventurous spirit led her to live in Canada for eight years during her marriage to Edward, where she found joy and tranquility in the beautiful outdoors. Patricia pursued a career in healthcare, earning her associate's degree and working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Canonsburg Hospital, where she touched the lives of many with her compassionate care and unwavering dedication. She is survived by her children: daughter Vanessa Russell (Bernard), sons, Patrick Black and Emerson Black (Laura); grandchildren, Daisy Russell, Lilly Russell, Amanda Cornelison, Amber Black, Rebecca Black, Adam Black, Aaron Black and Summer Black; and a sister, Maureen Mangan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Black, her second husband, Edward Flint, and brothers, Gerard, Dennis and Joseph "Butch." There will be no formal services for Pat but remember to keep her family and friends in your prayers as they navigate their way through this journey of loss. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Please visit www.shortfh.com to send online condolences to her family.
