Patricia Ann Brumley, 77, of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at her home. She was born September 20, 1945, in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Charles and Betty King. Pat worked many years as a bookkeeper for the A&P, which later became Super Fresh, in Salisbury. She was a real people person who never met a stranger. Pat enjoyed making memories with family and friends, especially when camping, fishing and traveling. She was a wonderful cook and will be remembered for her amazing cornbread and sweet potato biscuits. She is survived by daughters, Gwen LeCates and companion, Wells Betts, Gale Bradley-Barbely and husband Wayne of Port Orange, Florida and Patti Riebel and husband John of Laurel; nine grandchildren, Hannah Hosier, Sarah Derasmo, Kyle, Corey & Cody Bradley, Ashley Somers, Luke Quillen, Johnny Reibel, and Jamie Truitt; fourteen great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; siblings, David King and wife Barbara, Jeannie Hickman and husband Louis, Paula Parsons and husband Gary, and Ricky Thomas and wife Jody; brother-in-law, Donald Brumley and wife Donna; sisters-in-law, Joyce Allen and Lori Blake; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Gary Griffin; his children, Brandi and husband Kiah, Nikki and husband Dave, and Matt; and his five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Orville Brumley who passed in 2007; son-in-law, Mark Bradley; Pop-Pop Benny; and a brother, Allen Tilghman. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a funeral service which begins at 11:00. Wayne Barbely, son-in-law, and Kyle Bradley will officiate. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
