Olive Lee Smith, 96, of Delmar, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at PRMC in Salisbury. She was born on March 19, 1921 in Chincoteague, Virginia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Thornton) Brasure. Olive lived in Chincoteague until the storm of '62, after which she moved to New Church, Virginia until the death of her husband. In recent years she made her home in Delmar with Debbie and Jack. She was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. It always made her day when they came to visit. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Morris and her husband Jack of Delmar; a son, Michael C. Smith and his wife Pat of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Brooks Morris (Mary), Brent Morris (Darcy), David Morris (Samantha), and Susan Smith Cullen; eight grandchildren, Maddy, Shelby, Lucy, Carson and Claire Morris, Mariah, Jacob, and Abigail Cullen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Harvey C. Smith; three brothers, Jake, Carroll and Lee Brasure. A celebration of Olive's life will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Downings United Methodist Church in Oak Hall, Virginia.
