Norma Elaine Wright, 94, of Delmar passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland. She was born on December 13, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan, a daughter of the late Leroy Church and Edna B. Whitford. Norma was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she always loved time spent with family at gatherings and celebrations. She will be remembered as a classy lady who would always be dressed to perfection when she went out. She enjoyed dancing, reading, listening to music, and traveling, including her many adventures abroad. She was a master quilter and a member of a few quilting guilds, her special works were in high demand, even having a customer from Sweden who would buy her beautifully crafted quilts. Over the years, many family members were gifted one of her quilts, which will now be a treasured reminder of her. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Wright, II (Cathie), Kane Wright, Pamela Wright-Maughan (Wesley), and Suzanne Brittingham; grandchildren, Robbie Wright (Patty), Meghan Wright, KatieLee Wright, Colleen Wright, Connor Wright, Patricia Moore (Joe), David Maughan (Christine), Seth Brittingham (Sarah), Ryan Brittingham (Katie), and Tara Evans (Joshua); several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shaun A. Wright; and a grandson, Jared Wright. To honor Ms. Wright's life, the family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
