Nicki Lynn Rimes, 58, of Laurel, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at PRMC in Salisbury, Maryland. She was born on August 10, 1959 in Milford DE, a daughter of the late Leroy A. and Gloria M. (Roulias) Holland. Nicki was a strong and independent woman, who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going on field trips and being a BMX grandma traveling all over the country watching her grandson "QT" race. She worked for Signature Healthcare and Genesis Healthcare in Cambridge for many years. She had a love for traveling and camping. Also she loved taking some of the residents from the nursing homes where she worked on various trips like Disney World and Atlanta Braves games through special fundraising programs. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 93 in Pocomoke and enjoyed participating in Relay for Life each year. She is survived by her children, Michael Wells and his wife Cherri of Seaford , Kristen LeBlanc and her husband Joseph of Laurel and Tammy Schilling and her husband Ronald of Dames Quarter; grandchildren, Quentin Wilkerson Jr., Savannah Wells, Robert Schilling III, Dakota Wilkerson, Sierra Wilkerson, Ronald Schilling II, Taylor Hatfield, Alexis Sherman and Caleb (Bob) Collins; a brother, Tommy Moore and his companion Vivian; and her beloved friends, Paul Sorrentino, Lisa Mace, Marylou Hopp, Diane Urasz, Shirley Addison, and Kerry Windsor. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
