Monty B. Twilley, 63, of Laurel, died Sunday, February 28, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1953 in Salisbury, a son of the late Harold and Jean Twilley. Monty loved his work as a truck driver for Harbor House Seafood in Seaford, a job he enjoyed for over 21 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to go fishing. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie S. Twilley of Laurel; children, Monty Blake Twilley, II and wife, Ida of Willards, Dawn Michelle Hadder and husband, Kenny of Laurel, Edwin Twilley and fiancé, Amanda Short of Laurel and Jeffrey Twilley and his fiancé, Alyssa Twilley of Seaford; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and brothers, David Twilley (Judy), Bobby Twilley (Shirley), Randy Twilley (Barbara) and Steven Twilley (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Twilley. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington, Delaware.
