Obituary

Millicent Anne Bradley, 79, of Delmar, passed away peacefully Friday, August 10, 2012 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. She was born March 19, 1933 in Princess Anne, Maryland, the daughter of Wesley H. Young and Mildred H. Propst Young. Mrs. Bradley was a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Delmar. She was very active in the church, including, the United Methodist Women, Disciple Bible Study, Prayer Group, Christian Women's Club, Harvest Ministries, and a volunteer at the soup kitchen. Her selfless acts of love, kindness and helping others will never be forgotten. She was a volunteer at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and enjoyed playing cards with friends. She retired from C & P Telephone after 32 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Ray Bradley, Jr.; three daughters, Mary Anne Mills and her husband Oland, Connie Bradley, and her partner Beth Costello, and Pamela Finazzo and her fiancé Thomas Steele; four grandchildren, Wayne E. Smith, Jr. and his wife Chelsea Smith, Brian E. Smith, Alexandra Costello and Joseph Costello. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Short Funeral Home in Delmar. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Delmar, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Phyllis Walton will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Manokin Presbyterian Cemetery in Princess Anne, Md. In memory of Mrs. Bradley, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
