Miguel A. Hernandez, 89 of Delmar, DE peacefully passed away in his sleep on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Born on February 1, 1932, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Porfirio Hernandez and Florentina Santos Hernandez. In addition to his parents, Miguel was preceded in death by his siblings: Joe Hernandez, Nilda Hernandez and Gamaliel Hernandez. Miguel enjoyed working outdoors around the house. He also liked visiting friends and attending church with his wife, Irene. He had a very good sense of rhythm and enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Miguel was an outgoing, friendly person that always had a smile and a good sense of humor. He was a loving and supportive father and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Irene Sullivan-Hernandez and her sons, Mark E. Wootten and wife, Pamela ; Barry R. Wootten and Deb Kiley; Glenn C. Wootten and Susan Miles. Miguel's sons, Miguel A. Hernandez and wife, Sandy, and Manuel Hernandez and wife, Sheryl, grandson Michael Steven Hernandez. He is also survived by eldest son; Angel Miguel Hernandez-Pinero; 3 grandchildren: Arisbelia Hernandez-Torres, Luis Daniel Hernandez-Torres, Angel Miguel Hernandez-Torres; and 6 Great Grandchildren: Yediael Omar Hernandez-Rivera, Alfonso Andres Hernandez-Santana, Abiel Jose Nieves-Hernandez, Penelope Lucia Hernandez-Santana, Yathniel Sebastian Hernandez-Rivera and Julian Enrique Hernandez-Santana.
