Michael Lee Ellis, a beloved father and Papa, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 74. Michael was born on December 21, 1950, and spent his formative years in the Delmar area, graduating from Delmar High School with the class of 1968. He was son of the late Marion F. "Bud" Ellis and Jean Frances Ellis. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Margarett Kathline "Kathy" Ellis. Throughout his life, Mike demonstrated a strong commitment to service and community. He was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Delmar, where he participated actively for many years. In addition to his community involvement, Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1976 to 1977. Mike's professional life was marked by his skilled craftsmanship in floor restoration. He worked at ServPro and North Shore Restoration, where he took immense pride in his craft. One of his notable accomplishments was the installation of floors in the Salisbury Center during its construction, a testament to his dedication and skill. Mike is survived by his cherished son, Michael Troy Ellis and wife, Ashley; his grandchildren, Michael Brady Ellis and fiancée. Hailey Wilson and Noah Harrison Ellis; a brother, Jeffrey Ellis and wife, Colleen; a special aunt, Shirley Short; and a close cousin, Steve Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Ellis, and a sister, Cathy Albritton. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
