Matt was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. A Beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, friend. Matt worked in residential remodeling and restoration, and particularly excelled as a painter. He lived in West Virginia and Minnesota, before returning to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Matt was an avid reader and loved baseball. He was an Orioles and Twins fan. Matt will be remembered as a kind and generous man. He was preceded in death by his father, James Doughty and wife Iris Hanson. Matt is survived by his mother Mary Barbara Brown and husband Hershel Brown, brother Jim Ouray, and sisters Kelly Doughty and Amy Whittington. He was an uncle to Chana and Mose Ouray, Jake, Maggie and Carly Whittington, Talon Doughty, and Otis and Andrew Anderson. A celebration of Matt's life is planned for the Spring.
