Mary Florence Zeibel died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of Lester and Arietta Wilkins, born February 11, 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lloyd Edward Smith; brother, Charles A. Wilkins; first husband, Ralph E. Smith; and second husband, George Zeibel. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Peggy Smith; grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Smith; stepson, Joe Zeibel and wife Liz; step grandson, Jason and wife Audra; two great granddaughters, Celia and Lyra Zeibel; sister, Lois Parsons; nieces, Cheryl Sheehan and husband Ken, and their children, Jason and Sara Sheehan; and Charlene and Fred Schultz. Florence graduated from Hebron High School in 1946 and PRMC School of Nursing in 1949. She was employed at Lutheran Hospital, Baltimore, while Ralph was called to active Army duty in 1951. She returned to Salisbury, being employed by Drs. Long, Briele, Fisher & Hughes and Drs. Todd & Sadler. She retired from PRMC in 1992. Florence received the Good Neighbor Award in 1996. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of the Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
