SNOW HILL- Mary Nock West, 82, of Snow Hill, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born September 4, 1929 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late John Clifton Nock, Sr and Willye Jones Nock. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She was an excellent cook and loved preparing large home-cooked meals for her family. Through the years she enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. She was a long time member of Makemie Presbyterian Church in Snow Hill. She is survived by 6 children, Shirley W. Carmean and husband, Jerry of Snow Hill, Connie W. Pusey and husband, Bill of Pocomoke, Mary Ellen Pilchard and husband, Sonny of Princess Anne, Barbara J. West of Snow Hill, William F. West, Jr. and wife, Linda of Snow Hill and Thomas R. West, Sr. and fiancée, Mary Vogeler of Snow Hill; 8 grandchildren, Kristi Carmean, David Carmean (Tiffany), Steve Pusey, Lori Soley (Terry), Stephanie Cleary (Brian), Thomas R. West, Jr. (Anna), Kyle Rhodes (Troy) and Jason West (Nikkie); and 10 great grandchildren, Charlotte, Presley, Thomas III, Savannah, Lane, Gracie, Dustin, Emilee, Gavin and Mattie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William F. West, Sr., who passed May 2, 1984; a granddaughter, Jill Leigh Pilchard who passed in 1991; a brother, John Clifton Nock, Jr; and an infant sister, Anna Nock. A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Makemie Presbyterian Cemetery in Snow Hill. The Reverends Debra Latture and Danny Travers will officiate.
