DELMAR- Mary Wimmer, 95, went home to the Lord on July 2, 2016. Mary will be remembered always as a loving and caring woman who gave her all to the Lord, her husband, her family, and her friends. Born in Hanover, Maryland to Mary and John Tello, as a young woman Mary worked as a dental assistant, a comptometer operator, and during World War II, as a nurses' aide. She met and fell in love with Frank Wimmer, a co-worker's brother from Glen Burnie. After he returned from the War they married and subsequently moved to the 'country' in Glen Burnie. When Frank retired they relocated to the Eastern Shore where they enjoyed a quiet lifestyle and developed many lasting friendships. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank and her sister Carol Warden. She is survived by daughters Joyce Schafer (David) and Judith Osborne (Sid Garcia); grandchildren Michael Schafer (Elizabeth), Mark Schafer (Caryn), and Samantha Draper (Todd); five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver and friend Tanya Smith. The family welcomes friends for a visitation period on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1514 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury, Maryland, and also on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church, followed by a funeral service which begins at 11:00. Pastor Andrew Morgan will officiate. Interment will be held at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Mary's name to Rejoice Broadcast Network, P.O.
