Obituary

Mary Katherine "Kathy" Robertson, age 74, of Seaford, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at her home. Born on December 22, 1951, in Salisbury, Maryland, Kathy dedicated over fifty years of her life as the office manager at Eastern Shore Veterinary Hospital in Laurel, where she fostered a deep love for animals and built treasured relationships with her co-workers, whom she considered family. She was also a passionate member of the Bloodhound Club of America, sharing her enthusiasm for these remarkable dogs with others in the community.

Kathy was known for her vibrant spirit, and her passion for the outdoors. She enjoyed waterskiing, fishing, and crabbing, often spending weekends by the pool and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her family, including her beloved niece, June Alexander, great niece, Tiffany Alexander; great-great nephew, Rhett Thompson who was like a grandson to her; brother, Louis "Sonny" Wells; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frances Wells; husband, William Robertson; sister, Joyce Lewis; and brothers, Earl Wells and Marshall Wells.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 11am on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation will be held from to 10-11am. Family and friends will gather to honor the cherished memories she created and the unconditional love she bestowed upon all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kathy's memory to Eastern Shore Veterinary Hospital, c/o Hogan's Heroes Fund, P.O. Box 586, Laurel, DE 19956.
