Mary A. Henderson, 62, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born on July 31, 1954 in Miami, Florida, a daughter of John and Sarah Vlad. Mary enjoyed helping others, and enjoyed her time working with Women Supporting Women. She also worked at Verizon and Signs by Tomorrow. She is survived by her mother, Sarah; husband, Michael Henderson of Salisbury; two sons, Christopher Davenport (Stephanie) of St. Pete and Jeffery Davenport (Ginger) of Salisbury; a grandson, Michael "MG" Davenport; two step sons, Joshua and Mathew (Hector) Henderson of New Jersey; and three brothers, Ralph of Miami, Richard (Cindy) of St. Pete, and Johnny (Linda) Vlad of Islamorada. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Shatus. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Community of Joy, 302 South Boulevard in Salisbury. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
