Mary Lou "Morgan" Grill, 81, of Salisbury, passed away at her home on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born October 8, 1942, in Lewes, Delaware, a daughter of the late James Clifton Marvel and Anna Mae (Cullen) Marvel. Mary Lou, or "Morgan" as she was affectionately known by many, was an accomplished seamstress who is responsible for many beautiful homes she helped decorate on the Eastern Shore. She loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises making memories with family and friends. Later in life, she especially loved having her kids and grandkids together in the house, laughing and eating. Mary Lou was never a boring soul and from fashion to personality, she sparkled wherever she went. She is survived by daughters, Crystal Lambert and husband Randy, and Tammy Mattei and husband Rod; daughter-in-law, Tillie E Cordrey; grandchildren, Ryan Lambert and wife Kerri, Amanda Cordrey and Joe Mattei; sister, Joan Hart and husband Everett; and a very special niece Kelly Cordrey and several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her closest, lifetime friend, Landis Phippin; a very close friend, Suzie Benedict; and Marie Houle. a friend she met while cruising who instantly became family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall William Wells; a son, Gerald Martin Cordrey, Jr.; and brothers, Jimmy Marvel, David Marvel, and Pat Marvel. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a memorial service which begins at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Susannah Debenedetto, Coastal Hospice Chaplain, will officiate.
