SHARPTOWN- Mary Bradley Culver, 94, of Sharptown, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Calco Assisted Living in Quantico. Born in Sharptown she was a daughter of the late George F. Bradley and Ruth Windsor Bradley. Mary spent her entire life in Sharptown as a devoted wife and mother. For many years she worked as a seamstress for the garment company in Sharptown. She became a fixture in town as she could often be found gardening and maintaining the yard and sidewalks around her house. Her home was a magnet of good food, generosity and camaraderie to her immediate and extended family. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Asbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth C. McCann and her husband, Stephen J. McCann; her daughter-in-law, Trudi Culver; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John H. Culver; her son, Kenneth Culver; three brothers, Claude Bradley, Donald Bradley and Edward Bradley; and four sisters, Elizabeth Carey, Frances Philips, Edith LeCates and Velda Shockley. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Firemens Cemetery in Sharptown. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Asbury United Methodist Church, P.O.
