Obituary

Marvin G. Reinhardt, Sr., 89, our beloved father, husband, grandfather, father-in-law and great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on August 28, 2024. He entered this world on August 09, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, born to William Reinhardt and Ruth Wise. He is survived by sons, Terry Reinhardt, Michael Reinhardt, and Roger Reinhardt, grandson Christopher Reinhardt, great-granddaughter Lillian Reinhardt, grandson Shaun Reinhardt, daughter-in-law Glenda Reinhardt, granddaughter, Tracey Brimer, great-granddaughter, Allison Scott, great-granddaughter, Kylie Reinhardt, great-granddaughter, Katelynn Adkins, granddaughter-in-law Sarah Truit, and nephew James Connor. Marvin was a beloved father to all of his survivors. He had a love for arts and crafts, drawing, audio/video, hunting, fishing, crabbing, he especially enjoyed going to bingo, going to the casino, going metal detecting and attending the Sharptown carnival, all with Mom. He was a lifelong, faithful fan of the O's, Colts (when in Baltimore) and more recently the Ravens. He loved to fish, love to crab and loved to hunt squirrels, rabbits and pheasant with his sons, with his long time and newly acquired friends, with his family, with his in-laws and with his co-workers. Dad worked hard to provide a better way of life for his children, his children's children and their children than the life that he grew up in. Marvin dabbled in creating comic reel to reel audio tapes, he loved to perform silly slight-of-hand magic tricks, he really enjoyed filming most all of our family holiday celebrations, filming every Christmas gathering from around the mid 1960's into the mid to late 1990's. What most excites his family about him was that he was able to marry his childhood sweetheart, Gail Sandra. Marvin and Gail moved to the Eastern Shore in the winter of 1994-95, settling in a home in Delmar, Md. where he was able to retire in 2000. As per his request, services will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home, Delmar. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.
