Martha M. "Marge" Dunlap, age 90, of Delmar, MD, died on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delmar. She was born June 22, 1921, in County Antrim, Ireland. At the age of 4 she relocated to Philadelphia, PA. with her parents,Henry and Jane McConaghy, and her brother, Robert. In 1940 she met and married Melvin (Mike) E. Dunlap. During World War II, she worked in a department store and as a personal caregiver for young children. After the war, she relocated with her husband and 2 children to Salisbury, Maryland. She was a member of several veterans auxiliaries, including the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Melvin E. Dunlap; she is survived by her daughter, Patricia J. Timmons and her husband Ralph of Delmar, MD; her son Michael (Mickey) R. Dunlap and his wife, Patricia (Maul) of Venice, FL; four grandchildren who adored their "Grammy", Tim Timmons and his wife, Jennifer,Terri T. Stuck and her husband, Mike, Bobbi J Sanders and her husband Jeff, and Jeff Dunlap and Nikki Clark. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Timmons, Andrew Timmons, Meredith Timmons, Devin Sanders and Chloe Dunlap. Martha enjoyed a very full, active, and rewarding life; she was an outstanding mother; mother-in-law; grandmother; and great-grandmother. There are those in life who make a positive impact on the lives of everyone they touch; Martha was such a person. A graveside service will be held (date) at Melsons Cemetery in Delmar. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Melson's Cemetery in Delmar. Pastor John Oltman of Melson's UMC Delmar, will officiate. Following the service, all are invited to join the family at Melson's Fellowship Hall for a time of food and fellowship. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the station two nurses and aids of Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, for the wonderful, loving care she received.
