DELMAR- Margie Moore Phillips, 87, of Delmar, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her home in Delmar. She was born January 25, 1925 in Portsmouth, Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles Grover Phillips and Clara Wright Phillips. Margie graduated from Delmar High School with the class of 1943. She retired in 1986 as a secretary for Delmar High School, a career that spanned 39 years. She was an active member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in Delmar. She was an avid golfer and loved the beach. She is survived by a nephew, Clyde W. Phillips and his wife, Kathleen of Stevensville, MD; and her extended family from her church and her neighborhood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Wright Phillips. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. The Reverend Phyllis Walton will officiate.
