It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Elizabeth Webb, lovingly known as Maggie, of Parsonsburg, Maryland, who passed away at her home on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Born on July 26, 1949, in Cheverly, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Helen and Jesse Parish.
Maggie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for nurturing those around her. Maggie was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of almost 40 years, Wayne Webb, a caring mother to her children, Lisa Parish and Rodney Willey, and a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Rachel Rich. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Edward Parish, Thomas Parish (Brenda), Helen "Doodle" Todd (Steve), Doris Leigh Chipps (Dale), and Carolyn Parish (Butch), and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse M. Parish, Jr.
Maggie had a special affinity for animals, particularly her cherished dog, Sassy, and her many beloved cats, all of whom filled her home with companionship and warmth. Throughout her life, Maggie dedicated herself to education, working tirelessly in various schools and spending over a decade running Miss Maggie's Day Care from her home. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to shaping young minds left a lasting impact on the countless children she cared for. In addition to her work in education, Maggie had a fondness for Betty Boop, whose charming spirit mirrored her own playful and lively nature. She also loved to travel, ski and was a lifetime, loyal fan of the Washington Redskins.
Graveside services for Maggie will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Pittsville Cemetery. The family encourages all who knew Maggie to join in celebrating her life and the memories they shared.
Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
