Margaret B. Ross, 83, of Fairfax, Virginia, and formerly of Delmar, Delaware, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at The Virginian in Fairfax. She was born August 26, 1928 in Laurel, Delaware. She was a resident of Delmar, Delaware for most of her life, retiring in St. Pete Beach, Florida with her husband and living her final years in Fairfax, Virginia. She was a retired State of Delaware employee. She is survived by her son, Stephen A. Ross, and his three children, Andy, Katie and Tami; son, Martin L. Ross and his wife, Chris, and their son, Michael; and daughter, Mary R. Hacker and her husband, Daniel, and their sons, Raymond and Kevin; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick; her mother, Elva Walson; and step-father, George Walson; and a sister, Irene Wheatley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Joseph House, Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary, P.O. Box 1755, Salisbury, MD 21802. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar. Interment will be at St. Stephens Cemetery Park in Delmar, following the service. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
