Margaret "Peggy" Joan Conner, 79, of Laurel, Delaware, went to walk with Jesus on Sunday, August 16, 2020. Peggy was born in Baltimore, MD on August 9, 1941 to Margaret [Shriver] Coppage of Gettysburg, PA and James Coppage of Church Hill, MD. Peggy is survived by a loving family; her husband, Lawrence Raymond Conner; and their four children, Linda Stackowitz (John), Carol Murphy (Paul), Michael Conner (Connie) and Suzanne Throckmorton (Brian). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Carrie, Chris, Melissa, Sarah, Jennifer, Candi, Brandi and Luchella.; her brother Donald Coppage; and multiple great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her father, James Coppage; her mother, Margaret Coppage; her sister, Louise Harris; and her brother, James Ashby Coppage Jr. Her dear friend, Carolyn Gray recently preceded her in death as well. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Thursday, August 20, 2020 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Funeral services for family will otherwise be private due to current restrictions and will begin at 12:00 P.M. COVID-19 restrictions ask that you observe social distancing and face masks will be required. Pastor Howard Travers will be presiding over the spiritual services. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
