Margaret "Peggy" L. Henderson, 94, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born July 9, 1920 in Snow Hill, a daughter of the late William and Grace Long. Peggy retired from First National Bank after 25 years of service. She is survived by 4 children, Patricia Jones (Martha Miller) of Newport News, VA, Nancy Lohrfink (Louis, III) of Laurel, Thomas Henderson (Bobbi) and Michael Henderson (Mary) of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren, Terri Jones, Patti Coleman, Whitney Carmean, Kara Shockley, Ryan, Matthew and Joshua Henderson, Louis and Jeffrey Lohrfink and Christopher and Jeffrey Davenport. She is also survived by many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Henderson; 2 half-brothers, Thomas and James Tromley; 2 infant children; and her beloved grandfather, Thomas Purnell. The family wishes to offer a special thanks to the staff at Coastal Hospice for the wonderful care she received. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
