Marcia Gore Dorsey, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mallard Landing Assisted Living in Salisbury. She was born June 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Thelma (Langston) and Leonard Gore. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael W. Dorsey, Sr. She is survived by children, Michael, Jr. (Lori), Carol, Robert (Gale) and Christopher (Lisa); grandchildren, Thomas, Ryan, Corrine, Brooks, Courtney, Rachel, and Connor; great grandchildren, Bentley, MyKenzie, Hannah, Aria, Elsie, Liam, and Chris; and a sister, Carol Jean Joy. Marcia was a loving wife to Michael for 61 years and loved her family very much. She was active in church her entire life and last attended St. Albans Episcopal Church in Glen Burnie, MD. She was a lifelong volunteer of many organizations and active in her community. She really enjoyed helping people throughout her entire life and even made sure her fellow residents of Mallard Landing had birthday and Christmas cards to make sure they never felt alone. She was an avid camper for decades and enjoyed being around her friends, whom she considered extended family. She was a social butterfly that never met a stranger. A memorial service will be held at St. Albans Episcopal Church located in Glen Burnie, MD on Saturday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcia's memory may be sent to St. Albans Episcopal Church, 105 1st Avenue SW, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
