Lorraine Carol Weeks departed this world for her Heavenly home with her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on May 19th. She was born in Bay Shore, NY, and lived on Long Island where she resided until 1987, when she moved to the Eastern Shore. While living in New York, she worked for 20 years in Pilgrim State Hospital as a chief supervisor of the laundry. After moving to Salisbury, she worked in dry cleaning, delivering newspapers and making silk flower arrangements at the Laurel flea market. Her hobbies were making floral arrangements, attending yard sales, and reading and studying the Bible. She also taught a Bible class at Go-Getters in Salisbury for two years. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Okerblom (Paul); son, Terry Weeks; Grandson, Michael Okerblom (Heather) and their children, Emily & Rowen; granddaughter, Rachel Phillips (Steve) and their daughter, Shealynn; grandson, Christopher Okerblom (Christine); granddaughter, Brittany and her daughter Lilly; and granddaughter, Veronica (fiancé Brent). The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the many aides that helped with her care as she was not ambulatory in her later years; also, Morrison Chiropractic that lovingly cared for her as if she were family. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.
