Lisa Marie
Richardson
November 25, 1971 – April 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie Richardson, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on November 25, 1971, in Baltimore, MD, Lisa had a vibrant spirit that never met a stranger and was always eager to engage with those around her.
She made her home in Delmar, DE, where she cherished every moment spent with her family. Lisa’s life was marked by her dedication to both her profession and her loved ones. She began her career at the Daily Times as a district manager before transitioning into healthcare as a traveling nurse for insurance companies. For many years, she became a familiar face at Lab Corp, serving her community with compassion and care as a phlebotomist. An exceptional cook, Lisa’s culinary specialty was her beloved lasagna, which brought joy and warmth to family gatherings. She found immense happiness in cheering on her son Christopher at his ball games and never missed an opportunity to share quality time with her children and grandchildren.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Richardson; her parents, Darlene and William League; her children, Christopher Richardson (Megan), Tara Timmons, William Timmons (Brittini), Zachary Timmons, Ricky Richardson, Jr. (Taylor), and Derrick Richardson; her grandchildren, Destinay (Juliun Holden), Ja’diah, Mi’cylah, Tyler, Kyleigh, Kinsey, Wyatt, Ryder, Brody, and Chloe; her siblings, Ray Hartung (Angie), Heather Jenkins (Chris), and Jessica League; sisters-in-law, Patsy Pitmon (Deane) and Rose Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stormy, and brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Allen Richardson.
In honoring her wishes, services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
