SALISBURY- Lisa Marie Byrd, 51, of Salisbury, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her home in Salisbury. She was born January 1, 1963 in Baltimore, a daughter of Gene and Joan Byrd of Delmar. Along with various other jobs, Lisa worked for over 10 years in the assembly department for Bayliner in Salisbury. She was an avid bowler and for many years handmade beautiful jewelry. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and had a tremendous green thumb that could grow anything. She was intrigued by clowns and as a result had an extensive collection of clown figurines and memorabilia. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Steven D. Hastings, Jr. of Delmar; 2 sisters, Deborah Byrd-Brumbley of Salisbury and Christine Byrd-Drew of Delmar; a beloved grandson, Steven R. Hastings, III; and special nieces and nephews, Danielle, Mitchell, Amanda and Eugene. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00.
