LAUREL- Linda Joyce Willey, 77, of Laurel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017 after spending several months at Lofland Park Center in Seaford. She was born April 27, 1940 in Kingsport, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Sam Prillhart and Myrtle Lynn (Mull) Cannon. Linda retired after working many years as an administrative assistant for Sussex County Planning and Zoning in Georgetown. In her younger days she was an avid bowler and more recently loved playing Bingo and going to the Gospel Café in Laurel. She never met a stranger and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Kelly Willey of Laurel; granddaughters, Ashley Charvat of Berlin and Kelsey Willey of Laurel; and a great granddaughter, Lilly. A celebration of Linda's life will be held Friday, June 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's United Methodist Church in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00. At her request, interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to St. George's United Methodist Church, 34910 St. George Road, Delmar, DE 19940.
