Linda S. Webb, 65, of Delmar, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at her daughter's home in Salisbury. She was born May 27, 1947 in Dublin, Virginia, a daughter of the late Floyd Jackson Sifford and Virginia Medley Sifford. Linda attended Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Salisbury. She worked for many years as a store manager for Beverage Barn in Fruitland, where she had many friends and loyal customers. She is remembered as a woman with a huge heart who enjoyed helping others any chance she could. She loved working outdoors and gardening. She cherished times spent making memories with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Virgil L. Webb, Sr; an adopted son, Larry; 4 children, Robin T. Jones (Charles) of Salisbury, Robert E. Brewer, Jr. of Colorado, Alfred W. Brewer, Sr. of Crisfield and Jennifer Todd (Rob Tyler) of New Orleans, LA; 2 step children, Virgil L. Webb, Jr of Whaleysville, and Loretta J. Webb of Onancock, VA; grandchildren, Steven C. Horner, Jr (Kim), Teresa N. Horner, Bobbi Jo Horner, Ashley M. Horner, Alfred W. Brewer, Jr., Nicholas Brewer, Matthew Brewer, Seth Brewer, Whitney Sedgewick, Bruce Sedgewick, Dylan Sedgewick, Robbie Todd, Ashley Webb, Tyler Webb, Shawn Webb, Jeannie Tubbs, Jamie Tubbs, Jennifer Parsons, Victoria Webb and David Gray; 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Sifford; 2 sisters, Maleta Perdue and Ilene Patrick; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a special niece, who was like a daughter to her, Debra M. Cline; a step daughter, Terrie Lee Reynolds; 5 brothers, Floyd Jackson Sifford, Robert Sifford, Horace Sifford, Lewis Sifford and Roy Sifford; and 3 sisters, Gladys S. Cline, Myrtle Short and Violet Ray. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street, Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. The Reverend Tom Bunting will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Line Cemetery near Delmar.
