Delmar-Linda K. Jones, 59, of Delmar, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 30, 1958 in Arlington, Texas, a daughter of James F. Poole of Delmar and the late Peggy Sims Poole. Linda attended Wicomico High School. She had a 34 year career in banking and worked her way up to Executive Vice President at M&T Bank. She was very active in the Delmar community where she served as Past President of the Delmar Chamber of Commerce, was an honorary member of the Delmar Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a proud recipient of the Delmar Citizen of the Year honors. Linda loved the outdoors and when not working or serving the community could be found reading on the beach, camping, cooking or exploring. She will be missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Manson Jones, to whom she married on October 25, 1997; children, Michelle Edwards (Blake) of Reedville, Virginia, Joey Hastings (Robin Parenteau) of Emmaus, Pennsylvania and Manda Ruark (Jason) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Amber Kirby, Jordan Woody and Cameron Ruark; great grandchild, Rilynn Banning; brothers, Jim Poole (Marcia) of Phoenix, Arizona and Matthew Poole of Willards; and a niece, Stephanie Ferraro (Danny) of Salisbury. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Grove Cemetery in Parsonsburg. Linda's brother, Jim Poole, will officiate.
