PARSONSBURG- Linda Cunningham, 63, of Parsonsburg, lost her fight with cancer Saturday night in her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Atmore, Alabama, she grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where she would meet her husband of 45 years, Clifford Ray Cunningham, Sr. They came to settle in Maryland, where she would spend the rest of her life. Linda was a kind, caring and generous soul whose love will be carried on in the hearts of many. She will be remembered and greatly missed by many family members and friends that knew her well. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother and mother-in-law. Fond memories and love will be carried on by her oldest son Clifford Ray and his wife Brandi, son James and his wife Monica, son Randall and his wife Jennifer, as well as her daughters Savannah and her husband Dustin and Mandra and her wife Stephanie, and 8 grandchildren that loved their "Maw Maw." She is also survived by her father Clifford Sherlock; brothers Randy Sherlock and Clifford Sherlock, Jr.; and sisters Sylvia Trader and Hope Sherlock. She was preceded in death by her mother Laura Christine Sherlock. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar where family and friends may call from 3:00 to 4:00. The Reverend Greg Morris will officiate.
