Linda Jean Campbell, 76, of Ft. Worth Texas, and formerly of Delmar, passed away peacefully in the early hours on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Marine Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Worth. She was born October 1, 1944 in Salisbury, a daughter of Helen Sullivan of Delmar and the late Clifton W. Sullivan. Linda graduated from Delmar High school with the class of 1962. She loved helping others and worked many years as a teacher's assistant in special education classes at Delmar High School. In the past she was a long time, active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Laurel. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Audra Lynn Rogers and husband Jeff of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Brandon Rogers and Breann Rogers; sisters, Rebecca Parsons and husband Tim and Luanne Sullivan; and a brother, Tim Sullivan and wife Marie. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Charles Campbell and wife Anita. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, George O. Campbell, who passed in 2014. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a committal service at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be sent in her memory to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 32827 Old Stage Rd. Laurel, DE 19956.
