Lena Marie Walker, 88, of Delmar passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at TidalHealth- Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. She was born on February 10, 1935 in Nanticoke, Maryland a daughter of the late Emma Douglas Wallace and David Wallace. Lena worked for Nanticoke Seafood Company for over 30 years. She was a member of Nanticoke Methodist Church and the Westside Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She loved listening to gospel music and playing bingo. She is survived by her sons, Michael Walker (Tabitha), Eric Walker (Deirdre), William Wallace (Khristy), and Clint Walker (Susie); daughter, Joyce Walker (Alex); daughter-in-law, Judy Walker; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law, Violet Wallace; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bennett Walker; sons, Tyrone Wallace (Lois) and Anthony Walker; daughter, Loretta Walker; a grandson; and brothers, David Wallace, Jr., Harold Wallace, Calvin Wallace, and Douglas Wallace. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E Grove Street, Delmar, Delaware. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.
