In loving memory of Lauren Ashlie Miles who suddenly departed this life on March 29, 2014, the day after her birthday. Lauren was born March 28, 1986 at the Dover Air Force Base and was raised in Harbeson by her mother Wendy L. Prettyman of Seaford, her stepfather, John W. Prettyman of Harbeson and also stepfather Ray F. Kissinger of Seaford. Lauren was a Sussex Tech graduate of 2004. Lauren was also attending the University of Phoenix, with the determination of getting her Associates Degree in business. Lauren loved being a mother, spending time with family, facebook friends and many other friends. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and working. Lauren is preceded in death by her biological father, Christopher J. Miles, great- grandfather, Elmer C. Wood Sr., grandfather, William L. Aspril, Uncle, Michael L. Aspril, sister, Michele Leigh Prettyman, Poppop, John M. Prettyman and Aunt, Crystal M. Ness. Lauren has been taken from her son, Caleb J. Miles (age 9) and her daughter, Brianna L. Dorey (age 5). Lauren is survived by her mother, Wendy L. Prettyman of Seaford, stepfather, John W. Prettyman of Harbeson, stepfather, Ray F. Kissinger of Seaford, brother, Chad W. Prettyman of Seaford, grandmother, Catherine M. Aspril, great-grandmother, Edna Wood of Milton, stepbrothers, Daniel and Josh Kissinger, stepsister Brittany Kissinger, Aunts, Christine M. Brewington of Virginia, Joann Prettyman, Brenda Larrimore of Tennessee, Pam Prettyman of Harbeson, Melissa Berner of Georgetown, Lisa Emel Hopkins of Milford, Deborah Emel Ingraham of North Carolina, Uncles, Chuck Prettyman of Harbeson, Jodi Miles, Michael W. Marriott of Virginia, God-mother, Janice Lewis of Georgetown, and many cousins. Services will be held at Laurel Epworth Central Worship Center located at 14545 Sycamore Road, Laurel Delaware on Thursday, April 10th, 2014. Viewing and visitation will begin at 4:00 pm with services to follow at 6:00 pm. When services have been completed, the family wishes to invite everyone to stay for dinner graciously provided by the family, friends and church. The family wishes to thank all friends and extended family for their condolences, thoughts and prayers. The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Laurel Epworth Central Worship Center, in care of Lauren Ashlie Miles.
