Kevin L. White passed on May 30, 2017, after a brief illness. He was born December 2, 1962 and graduated from Delmar High School in 1980 where he was active in band and Wildcats football. Kevin was an acolyte at All Saints Episcopal church in Delmar. He enjoyed a successful 30-year career in local real estate, working variously for Porter & Associates, Prudential Carruthers, Coldwell Banker, and most recently for Long & Foster Companies in Salisbury. Kevin's friends Chuck and Elaine Bunting Gordy of Salisbury provided compassionate support for him during his illness, along with many other associates, friends, and family. His beloved dog, Jude, was adopted by his friends and neighbors Cres and Caroline Long also of Salisbury. Kevin is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. White of Salisbury. He is also survived by siblings Hunter Pollitt and his spouse John Waddle of Seattle, WA, Robin Pollitt and his wife Linda Pollitt of Sharptown, MD, Bonnie Smith of Salisbury, Valerie Whalen and her husband John Whalen of Millsboro, DE. Survivors also include his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Donald V. White of Salisbury and various nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Burl Vandergrift of Salisbury. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at All Saints Episcopal Church in Delmar, DE, on Saturday, June 3, 2017. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am. The Reverend Kenneth Athey will officiate. A reception will be conducted at the church following the ceremony. Interment for private family members and close friends is scheduled at Wicomico Memorial Park on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes should be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802, in Kevin's memory. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
