Kenneth "Kenny" A. Adkins, 70, of Delmar, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Salisbury. Kenny was born January 27, 1952, in Salisbury, a son of the late Clifton T. and Margie (Gullette) Adkins. He graduated from Mardela High School with the class of 1970. In his younger days he worked with Green Giant, PENCO and then settled in with Burrows (which later became Standard Register), from where he retired as a master printer after over 35 years of service. He was a loving brother, father and grandfather who enjoyed rooting for his grandchildren on the soccer, softball, and lacrosse fields. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats. Kenny loved going to auctions and was an avid gun and tool collector among other things. He is survived by his son, Daniel "Danny" Adkins and wife, Holli of Hebron; grandchildren, Tristin, Kalie, Cayden and Grason; a sister, Peggy Lee Hastings of Laurel; brothers, Phil Adkins and wife Bonnie and Dennis Adkins and wife Mary, all of Salisbury; an aunt, Joan Adkins of Salisbury; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David T. Adkins. A visitation for Kenny's family and friends will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
