With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kathleen Anne Powell, who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 73. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Kathleen was born on August 12, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Kathleen A. Callahan and Robert E. Callahan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Powell Sr.
Kathleen dedicated many years of her career as a Quality Specialist at API Technologies, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, and attention to detail.
Above all else, Kathleen cherished her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, watching them grow and celebrating life's precious moments together.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose unconditional love, gentle heart, and unwavering strength will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her. Kathleen is lovingly survived by her children: Michelle (Chris) Riggs of Florida, Bruce (Mandie) Powell of Delmar, Melissa (Jerel) Davis of Salisbury, and Jamie Powell of Florida. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Kathleen's love and legacy will live on in the lives of those she touched. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation only on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
