Judith "Judie" A. Walker, 80, of Delmar, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her home. She was born September 11, 1941, in Crisfield, a daughter of the late James and Nobia Mills. In her younger years Judie worked as a waitress at Johnny & Sammy's in Salisbury, a job she loved for 18 years. She truly enjoyed serving people and more recently bartended at the American Legion in Salisbury until her health forced her to slow down. She loved being a part of the community and was an active member of the American Legion Post 64 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 194, Redmens Tony Tank Tribe 149 and Salisbury Moose Lodge 654. Judie's cup was always half full and she used her smile and positive attitude to help those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness to others, her giving spirit and her immense love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her children, Michael Walker of Fairmount, Gary Walker and wife Kim of Chesterfield, Virginia, Dee Walker Lehman of Delmar and Paul Thomas Walker of Delmar; grandchildren, Keith "Artie" Abbott, Samantha Lehman, Jamie Walker (Leah), Sara Yoder (Ben), Travis Walker (Bridgette) and Joshua Walker (Danielle); 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Walker; and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 1. Rev. Lou Bradley and Rev. Phyllis Walton will officiate. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
