Joyce Fleetwood Lord, 71, of Delmar, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born on December 23, 1943 in Seaford, Delaware, a daughter of the late Adron and Eva Fleetwood. Joyce worked for the Sussex County Treasury Department for 38 years, and was the director of finance when she retired. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Delmar, the New Century Club and the Wicomico Yacht Club. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild, they were the joys of her life. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at PRMC for the excellent care she received during her stay. She is survived by a son, George "Skip" Lord and his wife, Karen of Hubbard, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa Lord and her husband, Wayne Smith of Salisbury; grandchildren Luke & Leann Lord, Zack and Emily Lord, Christina Lord and Andrew Pizzulo and Jamie Smith; a great granddaughter, Addison Lord; and three nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Miller. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. In memory of Mrs. Lord, contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association, 422 S.
