Obituary

DELMAR- Joseph S. Triglia, III, 50, of Delmar, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born July 22, 1962 in Salisbury, a son of Joseph S. Triglia, Jr. and Barbara J. (Kaledinskas) Triglia. Joe graduated from Delmar High School with the Class of 1980, where he was a member of the varsity football team. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar and most recently attended The Tabernacle in Delmar. In his younger days Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He spent 8 years in Dallas working in the oil business before moving back to Delmar to open his business and was known around town as The Window Man. He was a leukemia survivor and while he fought many illnesses for so many years, he never lost his faith or his positive attitude. He never met a stranger and always stopped to share God's word with anyone who would listen. Joe was concerned about everyone else's well-being and an advocate for the homeless and the area's food banks. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of almost 4 years, Joella Hornbeck-Triglia; a brother, Stephen John Triglia of Rehoboth Beach; a sister, Tracy Bandorick and her husband, Bill and their daughters, Sophia and Piper Rose Bandorick, of Ocean City; mother-in-law, Judith Basic and her husband, Ed of Seaford; three brothers-in-law, Chad Hornbeck and his wife, Amy and their daughters, Ava and Hannah of New Jersey, Brad Hornbeck and his wife, Angela and their sons, Brad and Cole of New Jersey and Brent Hornbeck and his daughter, Bobbi of Arizona; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Delmar. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar. Also, a celebration of Joe's life will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. at The Tabernacle in Delmar.
