Joseph W. Hearn, 87, of Laurel, formerly of Florida, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Laurel. Born in Laurel, he was a son of the late Mamie Hearn. Mr. Hearn proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed his work as an over-the road truck driver and painter. He is survived by 3 sons, Joseph Hearn of Seaford, Craig Hearn and his wife Janice of Laurel and Jack Hearn; and four grandchildren, Kevin Hill and his wife Elizabeth of Laurel, Joanna Larimore of Milford, Jacob Hearn of Seaford and Kelsey Hearn of Seaford; and a great granddaughter, Katie Hill of Laurel. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Daley (Hastings) Hearn. Services will be private at the request of the family.
