SALISBURY- John M. Wilson, 51, of Salisbury, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born December 1, 1963 in Salisbury, the son of Helen (Lowman) Wilson of Salisbury and the late Frank Wilson, Sr. John was a skilled electrician and worked many years as an industrial electrician at PRMC and Wor-Wic Community College. He loved gardening and spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a collector of many things, including some of his favorites were Indian artifacts and lighthouses. Everyone loved to be around him when spending time with John you were always guaranteed to laugh. More than anything, he will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who would do anything to help his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sheila Y. Wilson; a daughter, Danielle Wilson and her companion, Brad Powell of Salisbury; 2 grandsons, the apples of his eyes, Sean and Bentley; two sisters, Linda Arnold and her husband, Russell and Lisa Wilson, all of Salisbury; and his mother-in-law, Faye Peters of Parsonsburg. He is also survived by several extended family members and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Wilson and Frankie Wilson; and grandparents, Alberta and Mervin Lowman. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, followed by a funeral service which begins at 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Oren Perdue will officiate. It was John's wishes to be cremated and a private interment service will be held at a later date.
