John Whitehead of Delmar, Maryland, formerly of Kinnelon, New Jersey, died at home on January 17, 2019. He was born April 9, 1938 in Butler, New Jersey to the late Sherman and Sally Whitehead. He was retired from Kinnelon Board of Education where he worked in the maintenance department. John leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Helen (Van Zile); children, Wanda and Carmine of Salisbury, Maryland, Bonnie (Mike) of Stillwater, Pennsylvania, John, Jr. of Kennelon, New Jersey and James (Dawn) of Easton, Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren. Burial will be at a later date at the Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Kinnelon. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
