John G. "J.G." Midgette, III, 68, died suddenly at his home in Delmar on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 20, 1939, he was the son of the late John G. Midgette, Jr. & Emily Jackson Midgette. He was US Navy retired and was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 347 in Salisbury, Maryland. He attended St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in Delmar, Delaware. His loving wife of 49 years, June Shockley Midgette survives him. Also surviving him are four children, Annette Bradford and her husband, Milton of Delmar, John G. Midgette, IV and his wife, Gena of Delmar, Michele Bower of Parsonsburg and Kim Bozman and her husband, Carson of Salisbury; one granddaughter, Jessica Bower, whom he cherished and adored until the day he died, and her fiancée', Mike Zidanic; five grandsons, Milton Bradford, Jr., John G. Midgette V, Ryan Bozman, Carson Bozman and Jakob Bozman; and three sisters, Mabel Rogers of Berlin, Debbie Oakley of Salisbury and Pearlene Lawal of Tucker, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the services. The Reverend Sam McWilliams will officiate. Interment with military honors will be held in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
