Obituary

John Curtis Gore, 64, of Delmar, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was born December 28, 1957 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Jon Schuyler Gore and Dorothy Esther Elizabeth (Westberg) Gore. John earned his Ph.D. in Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. For many years he worked as a pastoral counsellor and was the former Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Salisbury, Maryland. He was an active member of Harvest Baptist Church in Salisbury. John will be remembered for his dedication to seeing others come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and his commitment to helping people grow and walk in their faith. He is survived by Heidi Joanne (Hellmann) Gore; sons, John Kenneth Gore (wife, Mallory) and Daniel Alan Gore (wife, Brittney); beloved grandchildren, Jude S. Gore, Ember A. Gore and Evelyn L. Gore; siblings, Karen L. Sciacca (husband, Joseph), Alan S. Gore (wife, Angela) and Kenneth J. Gore (wife, Jennifer); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of John's life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church in Salisbury, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00.
