Joan Lewis Wilson, 84, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home. She was born on June 18, 1932 in Marion Station, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charles and Sallie Dryden Lewis. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury. She was devoted to her family and her church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph W. Wilson; children, Timothy Wilson of Salisbury, Danny Wilson of Salisbury and Ann Wright of Laurel; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Kathryn McIntyre, Alfred Lewis, Clara Miller, Mildred Russell, Rose Brous, and Douglas Lewis. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Joel Beiler will officiate. The interment will be private.
